Rezension von Sandy"The Favourites" ist für mich ein bewegendes und intensives Buch über den Eiskunstlauf, das mich nach einem etwas holperigen Start völlig gefesselt hat. Besonders gut gefallen hat mir der Wechsel zwischen Dokumentationsinterviews und Katarinas Erzählperspektive, der die Geschichte abwechslungsreich und authentisch wirken lässt. Neben der Beziehung von Kat und Heath stehen vor allem Ehrgeiz, Konkurrenzdruck und die Schattenseiten des Leistungssports im Mittelpunkt. Die Figuren sind vielschichtig und nicht immer sympathisch, was sie umso glaubwürdiger macht. Wer mehr als eine klassische Sports Romance sucht und sich für die Welt des Eiskunstlaufs interessiert, sollte diesem Buch unbedingt eine Chance geben.
Rezension von LillyMir hat die Geschichte gut gefallen. Es war mal was anderes und man hatte das Gefühl die Karriere mitzuverfolgen. Ich hatte irgendwann das Gefühl, dass die Geschichte schon früher hätte zu Ende sein können. Aber dann hat mich der letzte Teil doch noch gefesselt.
