Rezension von DeniseEine wunderbare Sommerlektüre! Das Setting hat mich sofort gepackt: Griechenland, Meer, Pool, gutes Essen. Dazu eine kluge, vielschichtige Auseinandersetzung mit Weiblichkeit, weiblicher Lust, Körperbild und dem Leben in patriarchalen Strukturen. Die Sprache ist stark: Atmosphäre, Gerüche und Wahrnehmungen werden so dicht beschrieben, dass man sich sofort vor Ort fühlt. Auch die Beziehungen der Protagonistin zu den Menschen um sie herum werden intensiv und reflektiert erzählt. Die Handlung ist größtenteils mitreißend, auch wenn es ein paar ruhigere Passagen gibt, die etwas plätschern. Die eingestreuten Kurzkapitel zu Künstlerinnen-Biografien passen thematisch gut und transportieren viele feministische Aspekte, haben mich persönlich aber weniger gefesselt als die Haupthandlung. Insgesamt eine intensive, sinnliche und gedankenvolle Sommergeschichte. Klare Leseempfehlung!
