Rezension von AnnieIch bin mir noch nicht sicher, ob 4,5 Sterne gebe, weil ich so schrecklich fand oder weil es einfach der Hammer war. Es hat mich gefesselt, wollte es kaum aus der Hand legen
Rezension von Anni DiIch hasse June. Aber Athena hasse ich auch. Dieses Buch hat mich so wütend gemacht (was der Sinn der Sache ist). Ich kann die pure Dummheit von June immer noch nicht begreifen. Zum Ende hin wurde es immer schlimmer (Die Szene bei den Treppen am Ende? Ernsthaft? Wie dumm kann ein einzelnder Mensch sein?). Es war auch einfach nur unrealistisch, da June eine Bisswunde am Arm hatte. Es macht absolut keinen Sinn, dass niemand vom medizinischen Personal dies gesehen hat und sich dachte: "Jup, war ein Unfall.". Athena war einfach nur ein nerviges Pick-me girl. Obwohl mich das Buch so wütend gemacht hat, konnte ich nicht aufhören, zu lesen.
Rezension von KatSo fesselnd! Ich konnte nicht mehr aufhören daran zu denken und werde es wahrscheinlich auch nicht! Yellowface ist mehr und besserer als ich erwartet hatte und gehört zu meinen Jahreshighlights.
Rezension von LarissaHach ich weiss nicht?! Wenn mich jemand fragen würde, ob ich das Buch weiterempfehlen kann wäre meine Antwort wohl eher: Vielleicht? Es war nicht schlecht aber, irgendwie hat es mich auch nicht umgehauen… wir haben das Buch im Buchclub gelesen und so bin ich auch drangeblieben.. hätte ich es für mich alleine ohne Austausch gelesen, hätte ich wahrscheinlich aufs Hörbuch geswitched oder pausiert. Ich konnte leider kaum eine Bindung zu June herstellen, konnte sie oft nicht verstehen und vieles war meiner Meinung nach wirr erzählt. Das Ende war für mich dann auch nur eine fade Suppe, wobei ich mir einen würzigen Eintopf gewünscht hätte.
