Rezension von PhucEines der spannendsten Kirmis, die ich gelesen habe. Die Charaktere sind sehr smart und durchdacht geschrieben, keine Eigenschaft fühlte sich überflüssig an. Die Story ist seeehr spannend, aber auch hart, schwer zu verdauen. Hinterlässt einen tiefen Abdruck, wenn man bedenkt, dass es irl solche Fälle existieren. Man fühlt sehr mit den Opfern mit. Tieftraurig, wenn man bedenkt, welches Leben ihnen geraubt wurde. SPOILER Die Einführung von Peters POV ab Mitte des Buches fand ich seeeehr gelungen, hat der Story noch einmal mehr Drive und einen interessanten Twist gegeben Das Ende ist sehr niederschmetternd, wenn auch konsequent. Hätte mir persönlich nach all dem Grauen ein wenig mehr Happy End gewünscht, aber das Ende ist gut so, wie es ist.

It was so interesting to get this perspective on an abduction case and to slowly unravel Sally’s story and her family history - the story of a child born to an abducted girl. Every now and then, I was missing a little bit of pace, but the story was so unique and had many twists that I didn’t see coming. This book helped me get out of such a bad reading slump and for that alone, I’m very grateful!

Rezension von jreads 📚Ich war sehr gespannt auf dieses Buch, weil der Hype so groß war. Ich muss leider sagen, dass mich die Geschichte nicht so überzeugt hat. Immer mal wieder sehr gute Passagen, aber für mich war es dann doch zu wenig durchgängig. Ich beende dieses Buch mit gemischten Gefühlen. 🤔
