Liz Nugent

Liz Nugent, born in 1967 in Dublin, is an Irish author. Before publishing novels, she wrote scripts for soap operas, radio and television plays, as well as short and children’s films, and worked for Irish radio and television broadcasters and the theatre. Her debut novel, Unravelling Oliver, was named Crime Novel of the Year at the Irish Book Awards. Her subsequent novels include Lying in Wait, Skin Deep, Our Little Cruelties, and Strange Sally Diamond. Several of her books have received awards and appeared on Irish bestseller lists; Our Little Cruelties was named by The New York Times as one of its recommended thrillers of 2020.
