Yasmina Reza

Yasmina Reza, born in Paris in 1959, is a French writer, director, and actress. She studied acting and began writing plays in 1987. Her best-known works include the plays “Art,” “Life x 3,” and “God of Carnage,” as well as the novels “Happy Are the Happy,” “Babylon,” and “Serge.” “Babylon” received the Prix Renaudot in 2016. Reza co-wrote the screenplay for the 2011 film adaptation of “God of Carnage” with Roman Polanski. Her awards include the Jonathan Swift Prize (2020), the Premio Malaparte (2021), the Prix de l’Académie de Berlin (2022), and the Prix Mondial Cino del Duca (2024).
