Walko

Walko is the pen name of German author and illustrator Walter Kössler. After training as a printer’s plate maker, he worked as a freelance graphic artist and illustrator, as well as a background artist and production designer for animated films. His credits included work for Walt Disney London and Steven Spielberg’s Amblimation studio. He created his first children’s adventure story for his son, which led to the series “Hase und Holunderbär” (“Hare and Elderberry Bear”). His other children’s series include “Der wilde Räuber Donnerpups,” “Rob und Jonny,” “Die Amigos,” and “Die verrückten Pappenburger.”
