Monika Finsterbusch

Monika Finsterbusch was born in Berlin in 1954 and studied fashion design in Hamburg. She worked as a fashion designer for more than 20 years before moving into the toy industry in the late 1990s. There, she designed soft toys and developed stories for children inspired by them. In 2001, she published her first children’s book, “Olli und Fips.” She is best known for the “Princess Lillifee” series, which she wrote and illustrated and which was first published in 2004.
