Volker Sielaff, born in 1966 in Großröhrsdorf in Upper Lusatia, is a writer and publicist. His work includes poetry, prose, essays, and literary criticism. His publications include Postkarte für Nofretete (2003), Selbstporträt mit Zwerg (2011), Glossar des Prinzen (2015), Überall Welt. Ein Journal (2017), Barfuß vor Penelope (2020), and Ovids Würfelspiel (2023). In 2007 he received the promotional award associated with the Lessing Prize of the Free State of Saxony, in 2015 the German Schiller Foundation’s honorary gift, and in 2022 a London fellowship from the German Literature Fund.
