Uwe Neumann

Born in 1958, Uwe Neumann studied German and Romance languages and literature in Kiel and Paris. He earned his doctorate in 1991 with a dissertation on Uwe Johnson. He taught, among other places, at the Sorbonne in Paris and at Kiel’s Christian Albrecht University. His publications include studies of German and French literature, including works on Thomas Mann, Günter Grass, Uwe Johnson, and the nouveau roman.
