Uta Heil (born 1966) is a theologian and church historian who holds a doctorate in theology. She has worked as a research associate in Erlangen, a lecturer in Graz, and a professor of church history at the University of Vienna. Her research has focused on Trinitarian controversies from the fourth to the sixth century, second-century apologetic literature, Christianity during the period known as the Migration Period, and the cultural history of Sunday. She also contributed as a co-editor to the critical edition of the works of Athanasius, commissioned by the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
