Traugott Roser

Traugott Roser (born 1964) is a Protestant theologian and pastor. He studied Protestant theology in Erlangen, Munich, and Gettysburg, USA, and holds a doctorate in theology. After working as a chaplain in palliative care, hospitals, and nursing homes, he held Europe’s first endowed professorship in Spiritual Care at LMU Munich from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, he became a professor of practical theology at the University of Münster. His fields of work include pastoral care, Spiritual Care, palliative care, liturgy, and pastoral theology. In 2021, he received the special prize of the Wichern Award from Diakonie Deutschland.
