Gian Domenico Borasio

Gian Domenico Borasio, born in 1962, is a German physician and palliative care specialist. From 2006 to 2011, he held the chair of palliative medicine at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, followed by the chair at the University of Lausanne from 2011 to 2023. His research and teaching focused on the physical, psychosocial and spiritual care of people approaching the end of life and their families.
