Gian Domenico Borasio

Gian Domenico Borasio, born in 1962, is a palliative care physician. From 2006 to 2011, he held the Chair of Palliative Medicine at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and from 2011 to 2023 he held the corresponding chair at the University of Lausanne. He also became known for his advocacy of legislation on advance directives. His book “Über das Sterben” was published in 2013 and became a bestseller.
