Timo Heimerdinger

Timo Heimerdinger, born in Tübingen in 1973, is a cultural anthropologist and folklorist. He studied European ethnology or folklore, modern German literary history, and German philology in Freiburg im Breisgau and Pisa, completing his studies with a Magister Artium degree in 1999. He holds a doctorate and has worked as a professor of European ethnology or cultural anthropology at universities including Innsbruck and Freiburg. His research areas include parenting culture, embodiment and emotion, traditional dress, regional culture, and the history and critical study of his discipline.
