Tilman Spreckelsen

Tilman Spreckelsen, born in 1967 in Kronberg im Taunus, studied German and history in Freiburg. He worked as a literary editor for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and published novels, essays, anthologies, and retellings of myths and legends. His works include the crime novels “Das Nordseegrab,” “Der Nordseespuk,” and “Der Nordseeschwur,” as well as the retellings “Kalevala” and “Der Held im Pardelfell.” “Das Nordseegrab” received the Theodor Storm Prize of the city of Husum in 2014. Spreckelsen also edited several anthologies and the Fischer series “Bücher mit dem blauen Band.”
