Thomas Wolfe

Thomas Wolfe (1900–1938) was an American writer. Born the youngest of eight children in Asheville, North Carolina, he studied at Harvard and taught American literature at New York University. He achieved his literary breakthrough in 1929 with the novel *Look Homeward, Angel*. Wolfe wrote five novels in total, two of which were published posthumously.
