Thomas Khurana

Thomas Khurana studied philosophy, sociology, literary studies, and psychology in Bielefeld and Berlin. He earned his doctorate at the University of Potsdam with a dissertation on the temporality of meaningful practices and completed his habilitation at Goethe University Frankfurt on the relationship between life and autonomy in Kant and Hegel. In 2020, he was appointed professor of philosophy at the University of Potsdam. Previously, he was a Heisenberg Fellow at Yale University, a lecturer in philosophy at the University of Essex, and a Humboldt Fellow at the University of Chicago’s Committee on Social Thought. His publications include the works “Sinn und Gedächtnis” and “Das Leben der Freiheit”.
