Burkhard Liebsch

Burkhard Liebsch is a German philosopher. He taught political theory and the history of ideas at Leipzig University and was an adjunct professor of practical philosophy at Ruhr University Bochum. His areas of research include practical and social philosophy, the philosophy of history, phenomenology, and hermeneutics. His publications include “Gastlichkeit und Freiheit” (2005), “Revisionen der Trauer” (2006), “Subtile Gewalt” (2007), “Renaissance des Menschen?” (2010), “Einander ausgesetzt. Der Andere und das Soziale” (2018, two volumes), and “Europäische Ungastlichkeit und ‚identitäre‘ Vorstellungen” (2019).
