T. H. White (1906–1964) was an English writer. He studied at Queen’s College, Cambridge, and worked as an English teacher from 1930 to 1936 before turning to writing full time. He became best known for „The Once and Future King“, his distinctive retelling of the Arthurian legends based on Sir Thomas Malory’s „Le Morte d’Arthur“. White had a strong interest in the Middle Ages and also wrote poetry, adventure and detective stories, as well as books about hunting and other sports. His works include „England Have My Bones“ and „America At Last“. He died in 1964 in Piraeus aboard a ship returning from a reading tour in the United States.
