Born in Wiesbaden in 1962, Tanja Langer is a German writer, publisher and lyricist for contemporary music. Since her debut novel, “Cap Esterel” (1999), she has published novels, stories, essays and radio plays. Her notable works include “Kleine Geschichte von der Frau, die nicht treu sein konnte” (2006), “Der Tag ist hell, ich schreibe dir” (2012), “Der Maler Munch” (2013) and “Meine kleine Großmutter & Mr. Thursday oder Die Erfindung der Erinnerung” (2019). She also wrote songs and librettos, including the libretto for the opera “Kleist,” with music by Rainer Rubbert, which premiered in 2008. Langer wrote texts for visual artists and composers and founded the multilingual Bübül Verlag Berlin.
