Barbara Schnabel

Barbara Schnabel was born in Berlin in 1966. She studied photography at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and moved to West Berlin in 1987. Her artistic work focuses particularly on transience and memory. Her work is held, among other places, in the photographic collection of the Stadtmuseum Berlin Foundation. In 2016, she and the artist el.doelle received a grant from the Kunststiftung Sachsen-Anhalt for “remember me,” an artistic intervention in the ornithological collection of the Naumann Museum in Köthen.
