Susanne Smajic was born in Munich in 1972. She studied book design, illustration and printmaking at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle (Saale) and at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster. From 2000 onward, she worked as a freelance illustrator for various publishers and pursued artistic printmaking. She illustrated numerous children’s books, and her illustrations and prints were exhibited in Germany and abroad.
