Susanne Loke

Susanne Loke earned her doctorate at the Faculty of Social Science at Ruhr University Bochum with a dissertation on lonely deaths and undiscovered deaths in urban settings. She headed a prevention project in care facilities and taught at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Rhineland-Westphalia-Lippe in Bochum. Her academic fields include loneliness, thanatology, social gerontology, health promotion, foster-care services and social-spatial research.
