Markus Witte

Markus Witte, born in 1964, studied Protestant theology, Jewish studies and Semitic philology. He received his doctorate in 1993 and completed his habilitation in 1997. From 2001 to 2009, he was Professor of Old Testament at Goethe University Frankfurt. In 2009, he took up a professorship in the exegesis and literary history and theology of the Old Testament at the Theological Faculty of Humboldt University of Berlin.
