Susann Urban

Susann Urban studied German, English and political science. After several years in the book trade, she worked as an editor and translator from English. Her translations include works by, among others, John Steinbeck, Nadifa Mohamed, Nuruddin Farah, Edwidge Danticat, Lola Shoneyin, Imraan Coovadia, Ishmael Beah and Percival Everett. For Residenz Verlag, she translated, among other works, Abubakar Adam Ibrahim’s novels “Where We Stumble and Where We Fall” and “Time of the Fireflies,” as well as Jeremy Tiang’s “The Weight of Time.” She also occasionally worked as an editor of books.
