Steve Ditko

Steve Ditko (born in Pennsylvania in 1927) was an American comic-book artist and writer. He studied under Jerry Robinson at the Cartoonists and Illustrators School in New York and began working for Atlas Comics, the predecessor of Marvel Comics, in the mid-1950s. With Stan Lee, he co-created Spider-Man and created Doctor Strange. From 1958 to 1967, Ditko shared a studio with artist Eric Stanton.
