Stephen R, Bissette

Stephen R. Bissette (born 1955) is an American comic-book artist, writer, editor, publisher, and teacher. He was among the first class of comic artists trained at the renowned Kubert School. He is known in part for editing the anthology series Taboo, which first published Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell’s From Hell. In the mid-1990s, Bissette created and produced his own comic, Tyrant, which was nominated for an Eisner Award. His other work includes contributions to SGT. ROCK, Heavy Metal, and Epic Illustrated.
