Stella Dreis

Stella Dreis, born in 1972 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, is an illustrator and painter. She moved to Germany in 1995 and studied fashion design in Hamburg. From 2002 onward, she worked as an illustrator and painter. Her work has received several awards, including the Hasselt Publication Award, the Troisdorf Picture Book Award and the Gold Plaque of the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration. In 2023, she received the German Children’s Book Award for best illustration.
