Stefan Weidle

Stefan Weidle (born 1953 in Stuttgart) co-founded the Weidle Verlag with his wife in 1994 and worked there as a publisher. From around 1990, he translated literature from English and French, including works by D. H. Lawrence, Carl Nixon, Edem Awumey, Miguel de Unamuno, and Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. As a publisher and editor, he focused particularly on literature of exile and, among other works, published Heinrich Hauser’s autobiographical book Zwischen zwei Welten (2012). Until 2015, Weidle chaired the board of the Kurt Wolff Foundation.
