Stefan Lorenz Sorgner (born 1973) is a German philosopher. He studied philosophy in London, Durham, Giessen and Jena and worked as a professor of philosophy at John Cabot University in Rome. Sorgner co-founded the Beyond Humanism Network and was the founding editor and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Posthuman Studies. His work focuses on posthumanism, transhumanism and the relationship between philosophy and Nietzsche. His publications include “Transhumanism” (2016), “A Beautiful New Human” (2018), “Übermensch” (2019), “We Have Always Been Cyborgs” and “Philosophy of Posthuman Art”.
