Stanley G. Weinbaum

Stanley Grauman Weinbaum was an American science fiction author whose literary career lasted only a short time. Despite his brief career, he had a significant influence on the development of science fiction. In 1973, a crater on Mars was named in his honor. He received the posthumous Cordwainer Smith Rediscovery Award in 2008, which recognizes forgotten or insufficiently appreciated science fiction authors.
