Sonja Bonin

Sonja Bonin (born 1970) studied philosophy and German literature as well as book and media practice in Mannheim, Frankfurt am Main, and at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She worked as a freelance journalist, translator, and editor, contributing to publications and institutions including Der Tagesspiegel, Spiegel Online, the Aspen Institute Berlin, and LiteraturReview. Among the authors she translated is the American historian and political scientist Howard Zinn; her translations include “A People’s History of the United States.”
