Norbert Finzsch (born 1951) is a German historian whose work focuses on the history of North America. He taught at the universities of Hamburg and Cologne and was Professor of North American History at the University of Cologne from 2001 to 2016. He also served as deputy director of the German Historical Institute in Washington and held visiting professorships, among other places, in Bordeaux, Canberra, and Berkeley. In 2017, he received the Meyer-Struckmann Prize from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf for his research on the history of the body.
