Simonetta Sanna

Simonetta Sanna is a professor of German literature. She has published extensively on authors including Lessing, Büchner, Kleist, Döblin and Kafka, as well as on contemporary literature. Her research focuses include representations of madness, the use of verbal imagery, encounters with foreignness in travel literature, and literature addressing processes of coming to terms with the past. From 1997 to 2004, she chaired the Italian association of university German scholars.
