Gernot Wimmer

Gernot Wimmer is a literary scholar. He received his doctorate in 2004 for a study of Kafka’s novel *Amerika* (also known as *The Missing Person*). He taught at the University of Vienna in the fields of modern German literature and comparative literature. His main areas of research include modern German literature and world literature. Following his dissertation, he worked on a comprehensive study of Kafka’s œuvre.
