Simon Johnson is an economist. He served as Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund and held a professorship in entrepreneurship at the MIT Sloan School, where he also led the group for global economics and management. In 2024, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences jointly with Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson.
