Silke Leffler

Silke Leffler was born in Vorarlberg, Austria, in 1970 and grew up in the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and Africa. After finishing school, she completed an apprenticeship in dressmaking and studied textile design. She worked, among other places, for a design studio in England and was active as a freelance textile designer and illustrator of stationery and children’s books. Her books were published in Germany and abroad, translated into several languages, and received awards.
