Siddhartha Mukherjee

Siddhartha Mukherjee is a physician, oncologist, and author. He studied at Stanford University, the University of Oxford, and Harvard Medical School, and worked as an oncologist and cancer and stem-cell researcher at Columbia University. His debut book, *The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer*, won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize. His other works include *The Gene: An Intimate History*, *The Laws of Medicine*, and *The Song of the Cell*. He also edited *The Best American Science Writing 2013*.
