Sibylle Anderl

Sibylle Anderl (born 1981) is an astrophysicist and philosopher. She earned a doctorate in astrophysics for research on shock waves in the interstellar medium and completed a master’s degree in philosophy. She conducted research at the Institut de Planétologie et d’Astrophysique de Grenoble on star formation and astrochemistry. From 2017, she worked as an editor at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, first in the culture section and later in the science department. In 2021, she became head of the science departments of the FAZ and FAS. Her books include “Das Universum und ich. Die Philosophie der Astrophysik” and “Dunkle Materie. Das große Rätsel der Kosmologie” (2022).
