Sebastian Lotzkat

Sebastian Lotzkat (born 1981) studied biology in Frankfurt and pursued a doctorate on the biodiversity of reptiles and amphibians. As part of his research, he spent around twelve months in the rainforests of Panama, documenting their reptile diversity and contributing to the discovery of several new lizard and snake species. Lotzkat worked as a research scientist at the Senckenberg Research Institute, as an author, and in educational outreach for the Senckenberg Museum and Palmengarten in Frankfurt. He also performed as an award-winning science slammer.
