Franca Parianen

Franca Parianen (born 1989) earned a doctorate and worked at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, in its social neuroscience group. At the Helmholtz Institute of Utrecht University, she researched the origins and development of human social life at the neuronal and hormonal levels. From 2014 onward, she appeared as a science slammer at medical conferences, theaters, and trade fairs. In 2017, she won the Neuro-Slam of the German Society for Neurology and was also a finalist at German championships and IdeenExpo. Her published books include “Woher soll ich wissen, was ich denke, bevor ich höre, was ich sage” (2017) and “Hormongesteuert ist immerhin selbstbestimmt” (2020).
