Scott Hampton is an American comic artist known especially for his painted artwork. In the 1970s, he studied and worked with his brother, Bo Hampton, under Will Eisner. Hampton worked on titles including Batman, Sandman, Black Widow, and Hellraiser. His other work includes illustrations for the card game Magic: The Gathering and the Batman story Gotham County Line, written by Steve Niles. He also created the comic adaptations of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods and John Carpenter’s Night Terrors: Black Sparrow. For Batman: Silent Screams, he received the Harvey Award for Best Presentation alongside Archie Goodwin.
