Sandra Poppe, born in 1975, studied history and has published several novels. After completing her studies, she worked for an NGO dedicated to fair fashion. Her works include the novel "Liebe beginnt, wo Pläne enden," which is partly set in an open-air museum where the protagonist spends six weeks living according to 18th-century conditions. Another novel is set in the Black Forest, a region to which Poppe has a particular connection.
