Sabine Hornberg

Dr. Sabine Hornberg is an educational scholar. She taught general education at the University of Bayreuth and school pedagogy and general didactics at TU Dortmund University, where she also headed an institute. Hornberg was project leader of the 2006 International Reading Literacy Study (IGLU) and of PIRLS 2006 in Luxembourg. She completed her postdoctoral qualification at Ruhr University Bochum with a study on the internationalization of education. Her research has focused on heterogeneity in schools, the transnationalization, internationalization and Europeanization of education, international school models, intercultural education and empirical educational research.
