Rudolf Mast

Rudolf Mast, born in 1958, initially worked as a sailing instructor and sailmaker. He subsequently studied theatre studies and philosophy in Berlin and worked as a theatre scholar, editor and translator. His translations include Daniel Defoe’s “Robinson Crusoe” in a new translation (2019), Michael Palin’s “Erebus” (2019), Michael Smith’s “The Silent Hero: Tom Crean – Surviving the Antarctic” (2021), and Jennifer Lucy Allan’s “The Foghorn’s Song: A History of Sound and Culture” (2022).
