Rosemary Sutcliff

Rosemary Sutcliff (1920–1992) was an English author best known for her historical novels for children and young adults. She developed severe arthritis as a child and consequently spent most of her life in a wheelchair. Her historical novels received several awards in Britain, including the Carnegie Medal.
