Robert Gugutzer

Robert Gugutzer (born 1967) is a sociologist. His academic career includes a professorship in the social sciences of sport at Goethe University Frankfurt, which he has held since 2009. He studied sociology, psychology and political science at the universities of Tübingen and Munich, received his doctorate from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in 2001, and completed his habilitation at the University of Augsburg in 2011. His research interests include the sociology of the body and sport, as well as phenomenological and neo-phenomenological sociology.
