Robert Frank

Robert Frank (1924–2019) was born in Zurich and emigrated to the United States in 1947. He became known primarily as a photographer and filmmaker for the photobook The Americans (1959), which had a major influence on the development of the modern photobook, and for the experimental film Pull My Daisy (1959). His other important works include the books Black White and Things and The Lines of My Hand, as well as Cocksucker Blues, a film about the Rolling Stones.
