After earning a degree as a Diplom-Ökonom, Sam Feuerbach worked in the IT sector for around 30 years before becoming a full-time author at the end of 2016. He became known for the six-volume Krosann Saga, which opens with »Die Auftragsmörderin«. It was followed by the fantasy series »Der Totengräbersohn« and »Die Gaukler-Chroniken«. The first volume of »Der Totengräbersohn« received the German Phantastik Prize for Best Audiobook in 2018; »Der Dieb und der Söldner« from »Die Gaukler-Chroniken« won the Skoutz Award in the Humor category in 2020. Feuerbach began writing short stories at the age of twelve. According to his own account, discovering »The Lord of the Rings« as a child sparked his enthusiasm for fantasy.
