Richard Shusterman is an American pragmatist philosopher. He is known for his contributions to philosophical aesthetics and for developing the field of somaesthetics. Shusterman taught philosophy at Florida Atlantic University, where he served as the Dorothy F. Schmidt Eminent Scholar in the Humanities.
